This is LOAM.

We’ve worked in travel and advertising for the last 20 years and we’ve seen the negative impacts of tourism and overconsumerism in destinations all over the world. That’s why we built LOAM on the belief that travel can be a force for good.

Travelers increasingly seek authentic, meaningful experiences that positively contribute to the places they visit. Yet most travel offerings remain extractive, culturally disconnected, and dominated by large corporations that divert resources from local communities. At the same time, conservation nonprofits and community stewards face persistent funding gaps that limit their ability to sustain long-term impact. The result is that travelers who want to engage meaningfully cannot easily identify trustworthy opportunities, while those doing critical cultural and environmental work struggle to access the funding and support they need.

LOAM creates high-impact, low-footprint travel experiences that connect travelers directly with the people and organizations protecting culture, communities, and ecosystems. Through careful curation of vetted partners, transparent impact practices, and hands-on participation in conservation and cultural stewardship, LOAM enables travelers to engage meaningfully with place while directing resources and visibility to the local experts doing the work.
